Patient-oriented Processing and Presentation of Medical Image Data (in German)

Abstract

To enable the interested patient to participate more actively in his/her personal health care process, the PREPaRe-System (Personal Repository for Electronic Patient Records) was designed by the Department for Computer Graphics and Computer Assisted Medicine at the Technical University of Berlin. It provides the users with the possibility to review their own medical data at home or at the physician's office.

The contribution presented in this document includes conception, specification of the \prepare\ system as well as conception, specification, design and implementation of a subsystem which implements image preprocessing of three dimensional tomographic data. The preprocessing subsystem provides the knowledge which is required to transform the raw medical data into easy to understand objects.
