Conception and Specification of a web-based virtual Hospital (in German).

Abstract

The PREPaRe system (Personal Repository for Electronic Patient Records) is an internet-based distributed information system that is able to store, combine, process and visualize different types of medical data that are part of a Electronic Patient Record (EPA). Focusing on users without special medical education as the system's end users results in requirements which are hard to meet and make extensive data preprocessing essential.

This report discribes the development of system concept and specification as well as detailed modelling, design and implementation of first prototypes. The evaluation process uses Quality Function Deployment (QFD) as state-of-the-art quality assurance technique.
